Narrative
FREDRICK, MD – A crash turned fatal when a motorcyclist attempted to turn left onto Blackberry Drive from the Urbana Pike near Frederick before 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 14th. The force of the collision caused the 2013 Harley Davidson Electra Glide to hit the passenger side of the 2016 Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The pickup truck driver was treated at the crash site for minor injuries, while the motorcyclist – William Thornton, 62, of Woodbridge, Virginia – suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver will not face charges. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating additional details surrounding Sunday’s deadly wreck.
