Narrative
MARION STATION, MD – A 20-year-old man died, and another man sustained serious injuries in a solo crash in south-central Somerset County.
Police say that a vehicle overturned after leaving the roadway and crashing into several trees.
Medics airlifted the passenger, identified as Alexander Diz, to the hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the accident.
The 19-year-old driver was also airlifted to a trauma center for undisclosed injuries.
Authorities say that speed may have been a primary factor in the crash.
